Skull Games is a 100% Veteran founded 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Their team of professionals have worked in counter sex trafficking for over a decade.
Some people believe sex trafficking only happens in other countries or in “bad neighborhoods,” but it’s happening right here in our communities. Anyone with access to the internet and a phone can order a girl just like they would a pizza.
The men and women of Skull Games couldn’t just stay on the sidelines and watch this go unchecked.
Victims of sex trafficking deserve nothing short of our undivided attention.
“The heart of a man is like deep water” Proverbs 20:5
I set out to discover what was in my heart.
When I discovered that we create from our words and the quality of our words determine the quality of our reality, I set out to understand the language of the body.
Our language from the depths of our hearts can imprison us. And those same words can set us free.
Knowing this, my goal became simple, create what would help me become a better dad. I was not good father at the beginning, I had to learn how to speak to become a better one.
This is such a beautiful question because it is so individualized, but there are clusters of exploration where most want to hang out.
In essence, the big cluster of exploration is always about getting closer to truth and authenticity.
Am I becoming more like myself?
Am I using more of my gifts?
Even though the adventure begins within, it quickly extends beyond the self with these questions:
Can I affect change in the world from a place of sacrificial love?
Can I serve without attachment to outcomes?
Can I live beyond myself?
The quality of these answers help define the quality of life.
Going back to the original question, I think success is found in who you are becoming.
This isn't about quick fixes. While they may feel good, they don’t get at the reason why we are searching for short cuts in the first place.
It's about –Facing our demons head-on (yeah, it's scary, but that's how we grow)
Being committed to real, lasting change, and then doing the inner-work that is required
This isn't about becoming perfect. It's about becoming the best version of yourself – for you, for your kids, for your family.
If you can change the dialogue in your mind, you can change your life. Or simply put – your words = your life.
My hope is that we co-create enough space together so we get to ask the questions of why. Why is this pattern of self-sabotage coming up every time you feel this way or when these words are spoken here? Why do you feel this way in the body? And then with this understanding, we rewrite the story from that place of awareness.
We transform our lives through our words.
I don’t think we find balance. We may find peace, but I don’t think we ever find balance in the coveted way of work-life balance.
A man is not meant to be balanced, but to always be a bit off put because it is in the course corrections, the finding of that center of gravity where men learn our lessons.
If we were in a perpetual state of balance, we would never learn the lessons we were meant to learn.
There is no balance, there is just the present moment and how I show up in it.

Grateful dad. After I blew up my marriage, I finally figured out how to be a better man and father while putting the pieces back together. There was nothing to fix, just something to understand. Fixing implies
being broken. The only thing that broke was the inner barrier to the truth.

The slope usually goes unnoticed
Then, one day, you find yourself
at the summit of something that started long ago
Looking out, not out of breath but full of wonder
Maybe it's not about the mountain
Maybe it's the courage to climb
